Meet Our Staff

Beryl accepted the position of Director at Little Sprouts Child Care Center in May of 2012.  She has extensive back ground in the human services field.  Prior to becoming our Director, she was employed as a LPN for 20 years.  A shoulder injury while tobogganing with her children changed the course of her career.

In 2002 Beryl graduated three times, receiving her certificate as a Rehabilitation Practitioner, an Early Childhood Education certificate, and her diploma as an Educational Assistant.  She was hired by Portage College and worked in the LAC where she worked with adults with learning disabilities.  While employed at Portage College Beryl once again challenged herself and completed 2 years of online courses with Cambrian College to earn a certificate as a Learning Disabilities Specialist.  Beryl later earned her Early Childhood diploma with Portage College in 2012.

Beryl is a lifelong learner who continues to keep herself educated in the field of early learning.  Helping the child care center continue to meet the needs of our community is her focus.

I previously worked in a Head Start program where I earned my Child Development Assistant Certificate.  I have worked at Little Sprouts in the past and returned when the opportunity to work as an enhancement worker arose. This means that I am assigned to two children who I work closely with to ensure they have successful days with their peers while at Little Sprouts.
